As Business Advisors, our purpose is to create wealth. Our clients are owner lead companies ranging over a number of sectors. These SE, (Small businesses) or MEs (Medium sized businesses) have at least one thing in common. Their owners wish to enhance the value of their business with the aim of either selling out now or making it possible to sell the business at some stage in the future. Our job is to make the business either ‘Sale Ready’ or ‘Investor Ready’.

Put simply, we use a number of Greenly’s processes that have been established over the many years that we have been business advisors and investors.
These processes include our ‘Fresh Pair of Eyes Review’ ©, a way of looking at a business through the eyes of a potential purchaser or investor.
Our company for sale 3 stage process which we call Clover ©. This is a much more creative and energetic marketing process than is used by firms who occasionally sell businesses.
Our Redirection™ process which we created more than 20 years ago is designed to help owners discover whether they wish to carry on in business themselves, bring in new leadership talent (this may require more capital as well) or make the business ‘Sale Ready’. This process is often used in family companies, particularly when the leadership team is about to slip a generation. As a family business ourselves (Greenlys was originally founded by the great uncle of the current chairman, sold in 1955, it was bought back in 1982), it is easier for us to understand the pressures.
We are sometimes asked to raise equity and loan capital to resource a company’s growth plan. London Capital Finance, our corporate finance partners, will raise capital from many sources. As well as their 2 investment syndicates Trafalgar (for private companies) and Gainsborough (for AIM listed companies), they have established investment portfolios with a 100 or so wealthy private individuals who wish to include ownership of private or AIM listed companies in their investment portfolios. The sums raised range from as little as £50,000 (for new companies) to multiples of millions of pounds for more established companies with serious growth ambitions.

Greenlys overriding objective is to help business owners increase the value of their company. There are 2 main parts to Greenly’s business....business development and corporate finance. The former is about better business performance and the latter capitalises on that improved performance by making the business ‘sale ready’.
If and when the owners want to sell, we have a quality process to make the sale.
